A separate bathroom and WC became one generous family bathroom.

This Lisarow renovation opened the former main bathroom and adjoining WC into a single room, then rebuilt it with a freestanding bath, frameless shower, wall-hung vanity, full-height tiling and coordinated black fittings.

Project overview

Two compact rooms were reorganised as one complete bathroom.

The original plan divided the main bathroom and WC into two narrow spaces. The bathroom contained a corner shower, built-in bath and small vanity, while the toilet occupied a separate room beside the laundry. Strip-out exposed the shared wall, services and ceiling so the area could be planned as one larger wet room.

The completed bathroom retains both external windows and brings the bath, shower, toilet and vanity together. Large-format marble-look wall tiles, dark floor tiles, black fittings, recessed storage and two niches create a consistent finish. Lighting, ventilation, a heated towel rail and the adjoining laundry floor tiling were coordinated within the same scope.

Room layout

The bath, vanity and toilet now share one open room

The original bath and small vanity occupied a narrow bathroom beside a separate WC. Opening the two spaces created room for a freestanding bath, wall-hung vanity and toilet, while both external windows were retained.

Vanity and storage

More storage without crowding the floor

The former floor-mounted vanity and plain mirror were replaced with a wall-hung vanity, vessel basin and recessed mirrored cabinet. Clear floor space and reflected light help the larger room feel open and ordered.

Shower

Frameless glass replaces the enclosed corner cubicle

The former framed shower was stripped back and rebuilt with full-height tiling, a recessed niche, dark floor tiles and a coordinated overhead and handheld shower. Clear glass keeps the shower connected to the rest of the room.

Former separate WC

The toilet is now part of the main bathroom

The separate WC was absorbed into the new layout. Its replacement sits within the fully tiled bathroom, with a relocated water point and matching black accessory fittings.

The former fixtures, finishes and internal division were removed so the combined room, floor and service routes could be assessed before rebuilding.

Insulation, framing and the recessed storage positions were coordinated before the wet-area wall linings enclosed the structure.

Shower membrane

The shower base, wall junctions, service penetrations and recessed niche were photographed before the tiled finish concealed them.

The new wall linings, recessed mirrored cabinet opening and fixture positions were checked before full-height tiling began.
