A practical Castle Hill renovation combining the main bathroom and ensuite rebuilds with preparation and installation of new sheet vinyl flooring throughout the home.
Project brief
The work brought together two detailed bathroom renovations and a broader flooring upgrade. Coordinating the scopes allowed the floor preparation, wet-area thresholds, skirtings and final finishes to be resolved as one continuous project.
Both bathrooms were stripped back so the existing substrates and service locations could be checked. The rooms were then rebuilt with new wall linings, waterproofing, tiling, shower enclosures, vanities, toilets and fittings. Carpet was removed elsewhere in the home before the concrete was patched and new sheet vinyl flooring and skirtings were installed.

Wet area
The original bathroom had a retained bath with low wall tiling and older fittings. The room was opened up around the bath and shower positions so the substrate, wall linings and service points could be prepared before waterproofing and tiling. The completed room uses a restrained neutral palette, a renewed bath surround and contemporary fixtures.

The original vanity, mirror and tapware were replaced with a cleaner, more compact arrangement. A new two-door vanity, square mixer, streamlined mirror and updated accessories give the entry side of the bathroom a lighter and more practical finish.
Wet area
The original shower had an older sliding enclosure, low wall tiling and dated fittings. It was rebuilt with a fully framed sliding enclosure, new shower rail and mixer, large-format light wall tiles and warm grey floor tiles for a cleaner, more cohesive finish.

The second vanity was renewed with a wider storage cabinet, integrated basin, single-lever mixer and a streamlined mirror. The new wall tiling and coordinated grey floor finish connect the vanity area visually with the adjoining shower and toilet zones.
Coordinated finish
The original grey floor tiles stopped and restarted across the connected bathroom spaces. The renewed layout uses a consistent light tile through the circulation area, with carefully resolved thresholds into the adjoining wet zones and existing hallway finish.
Whole-home finish
After the existing carpet was removed, the concrete floor was patched and levelled where required. The new timber-look sheet vinyl creates a continuous, easy-care surface through bedrooms and living areas, with junctions and skirtings completed around the retained tiled zones.
