This Cronulla home was renewed as one connected project, including the main bathroom, ensuite, powder room and kitchen, plus bedroom windows and flooring, hallway and study access, and staircase refinishing.
Project overview
This two-storey Cronulla home was renovated from its busiest rooms through to the connecting spaces. We rebuilt the main bathroom, ensuite and downstairs powder room, renewed the kitchen and carried the improvements into the bedrooms, hallway, study entrance and staircase.
The work included new bedroom flooring and windows, new architraves fitted and painted around the openings, a reconfigured entrance to the study and replacement hallway flooring. The staircase balustrade was stripped and repainted, and the surrounding stairwell opening was repaired and refreshed. Completing the work as one project created a consistent finish throughout the home and allowed every trade to be sequenced efficiently.

Upper floor
The original segmented room was rebuilt with full-height large-format tiling, a new bath and glazed shower, recessed storage, a double vanity and updated fittings.

The ensuite was rebuilt with full-height tiling, a glazed shower enclosure, tiled niche, double vanity, coordinated mirrors and lighting, and updated fittings.

The downstairs powder room was rebuilt with full-height neutral tiling, a back-to-wall toilet, storage vanity, round mirror and new lighting.

The existing cabinet layout was retained and renewed with new stone-look benchtops, tiled splashbacks, updated sink-area finishes and carefully resolved junctions around the windows, appliances and joinery.

Interiors: before & after
The work did not stop at the kitchen and wet areas. These preparation photographs show the bedrooms, hallway and staircase before their flooring, window, access and finishing work was completed.
New flooring and replacement windows refreshed the room. New architraves were fitted and painted around each opening for a consistent finish.
The entrance to the study was reconfigured to improve the connection from the hallway. New flooring then created a cleaner, more continuous transition between the spaces.
The master bedroom received the same coordinated upgrade, with new flooring, replacement windows, and new architraves fitted and painted to complete the openings.
The balustrade was stripped back to remove the existing coating before being fully repainted. The surrounding stairwell opening was repaired and refreshed to complete the transition between levels.

The wet areas were opened up, rebuilt and photographed through the waterproofing stage. These records show the work behind the completed tiling and fixtures.
